This week’s useful social enterprise links

Some good stuff this week, including an opportunity to work for SSE and a wrestling social entrepreneur…

Best to invest?

A useful report from New Philanthropy Capital, looking at Social Investment.  It’s written from a funder’s point of view, but serves as a very good introduction to the social investment market.

Social enterprises aid innovation in education

A good article in the Guardian made even better by the fact that it includes two SSE students, Julia Bateson of Excite-ed and Tom Ravenscroft of Enabling Enterprise.

Amazing opportunity to work for SSE!

We’re looking for a part time Learning Manager in the North East of England.

Teach First Innovation Award

Open to anyone with an early-stage idea that has the potential to improve outcomes for young people.

Professional Wrestler Turns Social Entrepreneur

Definitely the best headline that I’ve seen this week.  Was slightly disappointing to find out that it wasn’t Hulk Hogan.
