Hurrah! It’s the Weekly Roundup! May 3rd 2013

The one week anniversary of the first time I did this.  Here are some interesting things that I’ve seen on the web this week…

1.  Small Charity Week 2013

A week in June (17th – 22nd) all about supporting small charities.  Quite a lot of the support needs to be booked in advance, so worth taking a look and seeing if there is something that could be of value to your organisation: http://smallcharityweek.com/

2.  Building Social Business: Mohammad Yunus @ Salford University

Fantastic opportunity to hear from the Nobel Prize winning founder of the Grameen Bank on Saturday 18th May.  It’s free, too!  More info

3.  The 50 most connected Tweeters in Social Enterprise (from the Guardian)

Follow everyone in this list and your timeline will be full of more social enterprise than you know what to do with…  Twitter’s top trumps

4.  7th Women’s Social Leadership Awards – May 31st

Now in their seventh year, these prestigious International Awards run are showcasing campaigners and social entrepreneurs in the UK and abroad.  Free ticket here

5.  Sense Camp UK: 7th – 9th June

After a successful edition last year and many of such events around the world since then, the MakeSense SenseCamp is happening again in London on June 8th 2013. Be prepared for this vibrant bottom-up conference dedicated to social business. It will bring together social entrepreneurs, social business enthusiasts and the MakeSense community for inspiring talks, interactive workshops, training, networking and an unmissable party to wrap it all.

SenseCamp UK is brought by MakeSense, an open movement of people dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurship across the globe. http://sensecampuk.tumblr.com/
