We are seeking a freelancer to join our Grant Management Team.
You will support our Start Up Programme for new social entrepreneurs at three locations in the South West – currently Bristol, Plymouth and St Austell. You will support the assessment of potential students and undertake grant management for successful students. Working mostly flexible hours from your own premises, you will liaise closely with both the local SSE Schools, the Central London Team and our Grant Management Team around the UK.
You must have direct experience of supporting a range of people starting up new organisations, particularly in the voluntary or social enterprise sector, together with a good understanding of their needs and the issues they may face. You must be able to work alone and be prepared to manage web based administrative systems and work within procedures. Ideally you will be based in the South West and will be able to start the role at the end of October or early November.
You do NOT need to have experience of grant management. Training and support will be given.
Contract approx. 8-12 days to March 2015, and then 60 days per year. Some travel required.
