We now have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our senior management team in the Director of London School role, joining the central London office and leading SSE’s London School Team that delivers all of SSE’s learning programmes in London. This role has four core responsibilities including:
- Lead, direct and develop SSE’s London School learning activities, to deliver and grow a wide range of best-in-class action learning based courses and support programmes for social entrepreneurs in London and beyond.
- Develop, implement and manage the London School strategic plan, as part of SSE’s overall planning cycle, and plan and manage sufficient resources to deliver it.
- Drive rapid growth of SSE’s London School earned income base through the development of sold courses directly to consumer and business-to-business customers.
- Lead, build and manage a strong London School team, including freelance facilitators and volunteers and make a committed and effective personal contribution to SSE’s senior management team.
This role is designed for someone with senior management experience, with a track record of managing the delivery of programmes, preferably in a training or learning and development environment and who understands the charity and social enterprise context.
The ideal candidate will have excellent people and programme management skills; a facilitative and skilled communicator, with a wide range of people; and have the confidence, dynamism and focus to innovate and grow SSE’s widely respected learning programmes in London.

We are looking for a Communications Assistant to join our Operations Team based in our London Office. The Communications Assistant will work closely with SSE's Communications Officer to deliver our comms strategy and raise SSE's profile.
The two main elements of the role are:
- Internal communications:
To ensure understanding and compliance of Brand and message amongst all SSE stakeholders – staff, students, Fellows, Network Schools, Corporate Partners and Supporter Networks.
- External communications:
To promote SSE across multimedia platforms and to generate media coverage and publicity related to the activities of SSE.
