On the passing of Dr Pamela Hartigan

12 Aug 2016

I am deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Pamela Hartigan, the Director of the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Pamela was truly a leading figure in the social entrepreneurship movement around the world. She saw opportunities to change things, always. She inspired, connected and championed many.

Her intellect was fierce – yet she never talked down to others. She had a lightness and irreverence that belied the determination with which she effected social change. She radiated kindness and had a terrific sense of humour. She would welcome people in. And she would always get things done.

Our thoughts are with her family and those who knew her.
