About the workshop

Social investment can be a game-changing source of funding for impact-driven organisations, but it can be hard to know what it is, where to find it, or how it works.

As Good Finance puts it, social investment uses repayable finance to help an organisation achieve a social purpose. In this live online workshop you’ll get a clear introduction to social finance and social investment, explore what it can be used for, and learn how it can sit alongside grants, trading income and other sources of finance.

Created in partnership with (and subsidised by) Good Finance, you’ll hear insights from their team, take part in an exercise to gauge your investment readiness, and join a Q&A with SSE senior management to learn from our experience.

  • What social investment is and how it fits into the wider income mix

  • What repayable finance can be used for

  • Where to look for social investment and how to prepare

  • The role of Good Finance in helping organisations navigate options

  • How to assess whether social investment is right for your organisation

At the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), we back people with purpose. With practical learning that makes sense in the real world. With funding that grows as you grow. With mentors, peers and people who’ve been there and done it. We don’t care where you started. We care about where you’re going and the difference you want to make in your life, in your community, and in the world.
