About the workshop

Does social media sometimes feel like a battle against time? With so much advice online, it’s hard to know what to invest your precious time in and what will get you the result you’re looking for.

This workshop cuts through the overwhelm and gives you a simple, realistic approach to social media that works for social enterprises.

  • What social media is really about (and what it’s not)
  • How social media algorithms work (no jargon here)
  • How to create content that resonate with your target audience (without spending hours on it)
  • How to stay consistent, including using a simple, easy-to-use content calendar
  • Practical tips for specific social media channels

You’ll leave with clarity, confidence, and tools you can actually use.

  • Get actionable social media tips tailored to social enterprises

  • Cut through the noise of endless online advice and learn what really works

  • Get clear on what to focus on and what isn’t worth your time

  • Learn simple tools to make posting consistently much easier

  • Get your social media questions answered by an expert

Your trainer will alternate between teaching and short, hands-on exercises so you can immediately put what you’ve learned into practice. You’ll leave with work already started, not just notes, and confidence that you’ve understood what was taught.

These exercises are individual and you will not be required to share your work with the group.

The workshop will also include quizzes and polls to keep you engaged.

This workshop is for anyone involved in delivering marketing for a social enterprise, at any level.

The course will cover some elements of strategy so you can build a solid base for your social media and practical delivery (ie. how to write a good post), making it suitable for most levels of experience.

We do not record all our workshops as they are interactive workshops and watching back a recording does not provide the value of taking part live. It also allows people to speak more freely when taking part in discussions within the workshop.

At the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), we back people with purpose. With practical learning that makes sense in the real world. With funding that grows as you grow. With mentors, peers and people who’ve been there and done it. We don’t care where you started. We care about where you’re going and the difference you want to make in your life, in your community, and in the world.
