On 23 April 2026, a new cohort of social enterprises and charities from across London will begin the London Growth and Resilience Programme. Funded by City Bridge Foundation and delivered by SSE, the programme is supported by The AVOCADO Foundation, Inclusion Unlimited, LGBT Consortium and Power to Change.
Participating organisations already making a difference in their communities are now looking to build stronger, more sustainable income alongside their social purpose.
Through a distinctive two-grant model, organisations can move from idea to income in a practical, supported way. A Set Up Grant of £4,000–£7,000 helps leaders create the time, space and capacity to test new trading ideas. This is followed by a Match Trading grant of up to £12,000 over 18 months, linked to growth in traded income. Together, the grants help organisations build momentum and take confident steps towards greater resilience.
The new cohort brings together organisations from across the capital working on everything from family support and inclusion to arts, heritage and community wellbeing. Among the participants are Home Girls Unite CIC, which supports eldest, parentified and daughters from immigrant families; Dadvengers CIC, which works with fathers and families through peer-led support; This New Ground CIC, which supports learning-disabled and neurodivergent artists; and Hidden Histories CIC, which makes heritage more accessible for autistic children and families and underrepresented communities.
At SSE, we know that building traded income is about more than money. It is about confidence, choice and the freedom to shape a stronger future. With support from City Bridge Foundation, this programme will help organisations across London test ideas, grow income and build resilience in ways that work for them.
