SSE Dartington have launched a new programme – funded by Enhance Social Enterprise (ERDF) – for social enterprises that are incorporated or plan to be by the start of the programme. This free Development programme will take place in Taunton between  September 2019 and January 2020.

A grant of £1200 is available to every applicant from Somerset. (Conditions apply).  Applications are also very welcome from Devon but we are unable to offer a grant.

Somerset Development Programme will consist of six learning days spread over five months and will help you to:

  • Develop business planning and strategy
  • Analyse and look to grow your income streams
  • Improve your leadership skills
  • Grow your customer bases
  • Meet other business leaders in the area

Course dates:

  • Thursday 26th Sept
  • Tuesday 29th Oct
  • Thursday 21st Nov
  • Thursday 12th Dec
  • Thursday 23rd Jan

Business Review panel dates will take place on either:

  • Thursday 28th Nov
  •  Thursday 9th Jan

Who can apply?

To be eligible, applicants need to be registered as a sole trader with a UTR*, or incorporated already or be able to confirm that they will be incorporated by the start of the programme.

Priority will be given to applicants from the Somerset area. However, applications will be accepted from the Enhance Social Enterprise catchment area.

*UTR is the registration code you get from gov.uk when you register as a sole trader.
