After the tremendous success of our first networking event, we’re kicking off our programme for the rest of the year, starting with this month’s event:
Date: Wednesday 22nd March 2017
Time: 6pm for 6.30pm start (6pm to 8.30pm)
Location: University of Exeter, Penryn Campus
Guest Speaker: Dr Heather Koldewey
As a nod to International Women’s Day on 8th March, and celebrating female entrepreneurship in particular, we’re delighted that our guest speaker will be Dr. Heather Koldewey, Head of Marine and Freshwater at Zoological Society of London, Honorary Associate Professor at University of Exeter and Field Conservation Manager at Project Seahorse. As well as talking about her incredible global career to date, Heather will also share some of her inspirational thoughts on “ocean optimism”, collaborative working and putting aside egos and logos.
Jim Grant, Head of Business Development for Cornwall at University of Exeter (our hosts for the evening), will also be talking about the ERDF-funded Future Focus project, delivered in conjunction with Unlocking Potential, and how Cornish businesses can work with the university to form sustainable partnerships and collaborate on future projects.
Finally, if you haven’t already, you can find out more about our School for Social Entrepreneurs Cornwall Membership packages: our way of saying ‘thank you’ for flying the flag for social enterprise in Cornwall, featuring exclusive offers and discounts, an events programme, regular updates and more.
