Overview
Business Planning A-Z is a practical training session where participants learn how to develop a full business plan. The session is focussed on helping those who struggle with getting started and completing a business plan for their organisation or start up social venture.
The training helps participants to identify their organisational goals and develop a detailed business plan to support their growth.
We’ll teach you how to write a business plan underpinned by business-modelling processes, profit and loss projections and early stage elevator pitches with a punch. The training also looks at how to conduct cost effective market research and a plethora of hints and tips on how to gain early adopting customers.
Business Planning A-Z has been delivered with over 150 start-up social enterprises and established organisations.
What you’ll learn from this course
You’ll learn how to approach the development and writing of a full business plan to support your organisation or social venture to grow with a strategic approach. You’ll learn how to use a business plan effectively and not just have it sat on the shelf gathering dust!

Who should attend
Anyone keen to learn how and why writing a business plan is important. If you’re currently meant to be writing a business plan but you don’t feel confident then this course is for you. No prior knowledge is required for this workshop.

The course will be delivered by Simon Pickering of Dot to Dot Training and Consulting, founded in 2015 to specifically to provide support to the VCSE Sector (Voluntary Community Social Enterprise). Dot to Dot support organisations to improve their effectiveness, income and better demonstrate their social impact. Simon Pickering has over 20 years’ experience in the social enterprise space. Dot to Dot have supported hundreds of organisations through their training, consultancy and coaching offering.
