Smart Giving launches at SSE London!
Posted: 24 January 2012Exciting new short course for philanthropists: Smart Giving
Everybody has the capacity to be remarkable...and that includes people with money!
The School for Social Entrepreneurs is happy to announce the launch of "Smart Giving", a new short course aimed at individuals who want to invest their money and other assets to bring about social change.
Using SSE’s experience and existing learning methodology, the course will demonstrate how to start in philanthropy and then tackle the issues that philanthropists face. Sessions are overseen by trained facilitators and the course will use social entrepreneurs as ‘witnesses’ able to share the problems that they face so that philanthropists can understand how they could best help them.
By the end of the course participants will understand how to identify causes that are of interest to them, how to measure their own impact and how to make the biggest and the most effective difference.
The course will be run over 3 days, with the first days to be run on the 7th / 8th April, or the 12th / 13th April depending on preference. The final day will be arranged at the group’s convenience.
To attend the course SSE is asking that participants make a minimum contribution of £1500
